My wife, Shelley, and I have two grown children, Rachel and Ethan. We enjoy boating, biking, and outdoor activities. My areas of interest include surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology. I believe in keeping current through continuing education and take in several meetings, seminars, and online classes throughout the year.
At Animal Kingdom, we strive to provide careful, conscientious diagnosis and treatment to our patients and seek to establish personal, ongoing relationships with the people that care for them.

I graduated from Veterinary School in Ecuador in 2000. While going to Veterinary School, I also attended a 3-year course in homeopathy. After moving to the United States, I spent 7 months at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the University of Tennessee. I then received my full certification in the US and my Iowa Veterinary License. I am a certified veterinary acupuncturist from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and have been practicing acupuncture in addition to traditional medicine since 2006. I love working with pets and helping them stay happy and healthy. My son, Zach, and I enjoy working on house projects together and traveling.
