Brandy,
Practice Manager
Brandy graduated from Kirkwood’s Veterinary Assistant Program in 2019 and has been with Animal Kingdom since June of 2020. She was born and raised in Williamsburg. She currently has two cats: Conan and Nala.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time reading, watching TV and movies, and hanging out with her family and friends.
In Memory of Romeo, 2005-2019
Romeo joined our staff back in May of 2012. He lived a life of luxury and surrounded by women. He enjoyed sleeping, more sleeping, eating wet food, and being grouchy. He spent most of his time being a great desk ornament, but did not mind an ear scratch or two.
Sam,
RVT
Sam graduated from the Kirkwood Vet tech program in 2011. She currently lives in Cedar Rapids with her two dogs (Magnus and Dougal), two cats (Seamus and Siobhan), and a horse named Muffin Man.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies, spending time with friends and family, expanding her K-Pop registry, and attending indoor soccer games.
Meaghan,
Lead CSR
Meaghan grew up living between overseas and the States, but moved to Iowa back in 2014. She has experience working in a small animal primary care setting and loves seeing exotics and pocket pets. She has her own bearded dragon at home named Calcifer, along with a few fish, a hamster named Boba, cats Luna and Gandalf, and puppy Draco.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and critters, playing video games, baking, and creating art.
Lydia,
Veterinary Assistant
Lydia moved to Iowa from a small town in Illinois in 2022. She has always had a passion for animals.
In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her cat and family and also loves to bake and play soccer.
Stephanie,
Patient Care Coordinator/Veterinary Assistant
Stephanie was born and raised in Iowa. She has always had a soft spot for animals. She is currently studying to be a Veterinary Technician. She currently has three fur babies, a golden retriever (Winston) and two cats (Milo and Felix).
In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, weightlifting, spending time outside and spending time with friends/family.
Chloe,
Patient Care Coordinator
Originally from Northern Virginia, Chloe graduated from George Mason University with a Film degree, concentrating on Screenwriting in 2015. Since then, she has worked in podcasts, medical websites, E-Commerce, copywriting and customer service. She loves seeing exotic pets in the clinic and learning about them during patient visits!
When not working as a PCC she enjoys caring for her house plants, watching professional wrestling, collecting vinyl records, spending time with her two-year-old hedgehog named Mickey, and her new puppy named Hobart!

Emilee,
Patient Care Coordinator
Emilee is a Quad Cities native who grew up in a family dedicated to rescuing animals, which instilled a deep love and respect for animals from a young age. She now shares her home with her three beloved rescue cats—Winnie, June Bug, and Tiger—who are her whole world. A passionate crafter, Emilee expresses her creativity through abstract painting, though she’ll admit she’s still working on mastering hands. Outside of her artistic pursuits, she enjoys cooking and finds great joy in preparing meals. With a career she truly loves, Emilee is excited to help care for your pets with the same dedication and compassion that she gives to her own
Renee,
Registered Vet Tech
Renee is an RVT and graduated from Kirkwood in 2013. She also has a BS in Equestrian Science, and she used to train horses. In her free time, she likes rockhounding (looking for crystals, minerals, fossils and shells) locally in Iowa. She loves traveling to Ren Festivals too. She has two cats, named R.B. And Nyx and also a 3 year old Flemish Giant Rabbit named Lavender.
Kylie,
Patient Care Coordinator
Kylie was Iowa born and raised. She has a Tortoiseshell cat and lives with her parents who have 2 dogs and 2 cats. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing guitar, and attending music festivals and concerts. She also enjoys hanging out with family and friends. Animals have always been her passion. She plans to attend the Veterinary Technician program at Kirkwood in the spring to further her education and love for animals. She is pictured here with her “puppy niece” Sadie!
Rachel,
Patient Care Coordinator
Rachel was born and raised in Iowa City. She has always had a love for animals. She currently has an Australian Sheppard named Kira and plans on expanding her fur baby family in the near future!
In her free she enjoys reading, writing, cooking, attending cosplay conventions, and spending time with her friends and family.
Jaydon
Veterinary Assistant
Jaydon started in the veterinary field in late April of this year. She has always loved animals but didn’t know she would enjoy this line of work so much. She loves learning all of the things! She plans on going to vet tech school to get her certification and she is excited for the opportunities this career will bring her.
Outside of work, Jaydon spends most of her time with my family and of course, her boy Mochi (handsome man in the pic). She also loves to read, watch movies, rock hunt and go to the thrift stores. Also is must be known that she is Cricket’s mom (the clinic cat), he works very hard greeting all the clients and she is so proud of him!
Noah
Veterinary Assistant
Noah grew up in the Iowa City area and graduated from West High in 2017. He has worked with animals since 2020 and plans on going to school to be a veterinary technician in the near future.
Noah has 3 ferrets and 2 cats at home and in his free time he likes to play music and spend time with his family.
Bergynn
Veterinary Assistant
Bergynn was born and raised in Iowa. She moved from Treynor to Iowa City for college and is a senior at the University of Iowa majoring in psychology. She started working in veterinary medicine in May this year and has explored a deep passion for animals and helping animals. She has become extremely fond of this job and couldn’t imagine working any where else! She has a Weimaraner named Cain and a Dachshund named Steele. She enjoys lifting, collecting vinyls, going to church and spending time with my friends and family.
Sarah
Registered Vet Tech (RVT)
Sarah is an Iowa native who has worked in the veterinary field since 2014 with a focus in small animal surgery and anesthesia since 2019. Outside of veterinary medicine, Sarah also teaches dance classes at a local studio and enjoys spending time with her three black cats (Voodoo, Spider, & Tarot) and her two pitbulls (Gomez & Olive)
